Wisdom of the Elder Dragon - Instincts
Keensight looked at Alador with cold scrutiny. "You have got to learn to trust your instincts. You absorbed much knowledge quickly. Those internal warnings are the things you have learned in life that lie just beneath the surface of your consciousness."

Wisdom of the Elder Dragon Flight
Wisdom of the Elder Dragon Flight
by Alador Guldalian
Many assume that dragons sleep a great deal; an error on their part that could end in their early demise. Dragons spend a great deal of time thinking through possible scenarios. By rehearsing possible outcomes and choices they could make in many situations, dragons are rarely surprised. I wish that mortals would do this more often.
Caution: Woe to the thief who tries to sneak up while a dragon is thinking, this is the first scenario a dragon plans out in all its possibilities.

Wisdom of the Elder Flight!
Wisdom of the Elder Flight!
as told by Alador Guldalian
If one comes calling with a smooth tongue and cloying manner, he does not wish you well. Their words hide their motives. Watch your treasure closely and do not let them get between you and your fledglings. In fact, it is probably better if you just kill the deceiver before they finish their introduction.

Wisdom of the Elder Flight
As told by Alador Guldalia
A flight will follow you to the last wing as long as you regard them all as your own fledglings. They will fly through the thickest fog, and they will fly with you even unto their last breath!

Many are the fledglings that leave the lair with grand ideas to see the world. Those that survive realize what they truly see and not just what they look upon!

While human lies are easily discerned by the length of explanation, dragon lies are short. It is a dragon that you can trust that spends an hour explaining what could have been given in five short words.

"Be more careful of negotiations with Gods than Dragons! Dragons will often say one thing with complete honesty and mean another. But Gods, they can be one thing then be another. The One that may have negotiated may appear as the temptress to lure you from your own vows."

The following words were spoken to by Keensight...
'We should probably put you out of your misery before you become miserable,” Keensight said solemnly. “Why ... you could become a danger to those around you. One should always get rid of a possible threat while the threat is only possible."

The Gods gave dragons all they need to guide and nurture the world, therefore, do not seek outside the dragons for your answers, it often lies within.

A dragon may be full of wisdom and truth, but he is no better than a Lerdenian if his actions do not match his words.

Dragons were gifted with great power and privilege. Do not elevate yourself above the mortal kind. Be humble in your speech and manner that they will seek your words and not your blood.

The wisdom of an elder should not be forsaken. Why suffer learning a lesson's pain when you can listen? Fool is the dragon that thinks such cannot happen to him, to this dragon the swiftest lessons come.
